PP Thank you for the support. The irony of the situation was that I had heard bad things about bully teacher before DC had said teacher and I remember thinking that the other parents were overreacting. I wasn't too worried when DC was assigned bully until my DC became the favorite target. My DC had often been given the perceived tougher/ more academically demanding teacher and had always flourished. I wasn't prepared for someone who acted like a queen bee. I wish I could give specifics but it would give me away. These were so jaw dropping events before I talked with the head the first time that head couldn't talk way out of them except to stay my concerns would be addressed. After I spoke with the head the first time, bully teacher became more clever in bullying my DC. Yes I needed to vent as DC had a rough night that brought back the emotions of that year and I also was curious how many others faced situations like DC. This isn't about a teacher that shows favorites and does stupid things. I'll overlook a lot. In this case, It was nasty teacher who didn't like DC and did things that were completely out of line. After the first meeting with the head, other events were spun so they didn't seem to bad. I might have not believed DC about one of them if a friend of mine whose child isn't a friend of my child ( different genders) called me and told me about the incident which was verbatum what my DC told me. It was so bad DC stopped telling me what was happening in school because I think she was worried about retaliation from the teacher and then I started hearing more from other parents. Another parent whose child was targeted had the counseler and head sit in the class. I don't say anything at school about said teacher anymore unless directly asked but others are having trouble with said teacher. I just know it will be a cold day in hell before my kids ever have bully teacher ever again.
