On the substantive part of your post.  I am all for separation of church and state.  I think it has gotten a little goofy and out of hand. I'll grant that some go overboard, as do some on the other side.  For example, "if someone is praying at school" could cover a lot of cases.  Based on what you have said, I think you would probably agree that it should not cover something like a public school teacher saying "Okay, now is our prayer time.  If someone would like to come up and lead us in thanking Jesus for this day, please raise your hand.  Those of you who would like to remain silent during the prayer are free to do so."  But I also think there are many who would think I'm weird for considering that a violation of the First Amendment.[/quote]
