Also, I've never known a teacher to use unused leave toward retirment. I'm sure it's happened somewhere at some time, but nobody at my school has done so in the 10 years I've been teaching here. Most just use or lose because even after 20-30 years teaching, they still care about their students. I have seen administrators use leave to retire in the middle of the school year, but that's not nearly as disruptive to students. [/quote]
