I'm sicking of working too. Everyone hated working at my last job and it's the same thing at my new job. Where are the fun jobs with the happy people???
fun jobs with happy people have extremely high barriers to entry and pay like shit because they can get away with it. For example, these days getting a job in a front office of a baseball team (the part of the team that does player deals, trades, scouting, etc)....a 'cool, sexy, fun, happy' place for the most part over the last 10 years has been flooded by ivy leaguers/stanford types willing to take massive pay cuts for zero job stability just for the 'fun' and prestige to work at a MLB team. I mean harvard and penn JD's giving up 200k+ jobs to take 50k jobs (guys and girls are queuing up for these jobs). When I was interviewing with the Washington Nationals you had extremely overqualified Harvard law students dying to 'break in' and giving up summer associate-ships at BigLaw in the process. I'm sure the environment for fashion journalism is like that as well..with the additional requirement of having to be attractive (something that's a lot out of your hands).
