What was 7:13's point? I took it to be that, if you are neurotic, high-maintenance and loaded, the only way you'll probably be able to live with yourself is to shell out a lot of money for private school, so it's irrelevant whether the public school administrators and teachers are generous with their time when you ask for a tour.
That wasn't her point at all. I don't have time to paraphrase f or you. Wow....
So what was the point? I agree it seemed like a bunch of babbling, as if all the poster really wanted to do was let people know she could afford privates.
The OP is obviously looking into schools so 7:13 was simply providing guidance about that whole process of finding the right place for OP's child (i.e. good questions to ask, criteria to look at, and so forth). Was that post so difficult to understand? We are here to help each other and share lessons learned. All you took away is that the 7:13 poster is bragging about affording private? I don't recall the poster ever saying that private is the only way, 7:13 is simply relating to the process of making this decision. Maybe that is what you don't understand because you did not bother to do any kind of legwork or research about your child's school. Ignorance is bliss....
