Neither sounds too solid. I am a non-attorney in the legal field and I currently have attorney's in my department (corporate) working as [i]temporary[/i] paralegals.  No benefits, paid time off, nada.  They are hourly employees with a lot of debt.  That's how bleak the market is here.

I recently updated a friend's resume.  She is an experienced attorney who was making 70k in Florida.  She isn't even getting interviews here.  70k in Florida is looking very good right about now.

I could move home...Which is what I was considering.  I just feel like my mind is wasted all day on maintenance work.  I get into a job, I clean it up, straighten it up, get it on the right course, build the business and then comes maintenance...taking care of the business I have built.  I am a builder, not a maintenance man.  I was also thinking about consulting.  I just know where I am now is not what is hot on the streets, and I need to burn up these streets.  Sometimes I wish I could just get laid off with a 6 month severance package so I could really go out there and do what I want (a string of new business ventures).  I am scared and keep holding onto this idea that I need a job.  Now that I got knocked up...I am probably trapped forever.  [/quote]
