If the person is thin, she is not fat. She may be weak, scrawny, untoned, etc. But she isn't fat. It seems to me that the only way "fat" makes any sense there is if it is being used synonymously with "ugly" or "unattractive." Fat may BE unattractive, but it isn't the only way to be unattractive.[/quote]
