Vaccaros has an actual cannoli factory at 8949 Brookeville road in Silver spring. Go, knock on the back door and a lady will open up and sell you canolis, large or small, with the filling. You can't buy just one.... You have to buy a dozen with filling. Fortunately, a dozen of The small with filling bag is only about $12. The cream comes opin a plastic bag, frozen.
HAHAHA. I love this. Backdoor Italian pastries. And I would like a dozen - right now in my mouth!
not at all backdoor! They are the original Vaccaro's of Washington!
Just because I grew up there, I feel like I have to do this.....they are Vaccaro's of Baltimore! You gotta give us something besides cop shows about drug addicts and crab cakes! Haha. That said, these cannollis are being dealt out of a bakery in Silver Spring, so that designation does get dicey.....
nope. My parents started that wholesale business and my brother runs it now and we are not from Baltimore and have no affiliation with the Vaccaro's of Baltimore. We have been making cannoli in Washington since 1906.
