This reply is judgmental, but really, don't do Craigslist.  There are some urban legends about animals obtained via Craigslist being used for target practice or as bait animals for dogfighting, but there is some truth to it.  Additionally, you really have no idea who is taking the dog if you choose someone from Craigslist. [b] A "real" owner would be looking at rescues and shelters for their new dog, with the reputation Craigslist has.[/b][/quote]

I disagree that no "real"owner would look at Craigslist to find a new pet.   We looked at Craigslist for months before adopting our cat.  We *did* ultimately adopt from our county shelter--but that's just where we happened to find "the one."   She was an owner turn in because her owners were moving (at least, that is what the paperwork said).   If her owners had placed ads on Craigslist (and we had seen them) we would have adopted her from there.[/quote]
