PP with the GRBS 5 child. Is your child still being challenged by the general ed curriculum? I keep reading that borderline children can still be challenged there and was wondering what you thought.
Challenged? I'm not sure. DC certainly seems to be breezing through, not stressed or overwhelmed by school. I read a lot of posts that say their children are bored b/c they aren't being challenged. My child is not bored. DC loves school, is happy, still works hard, is really into school. Does that mean DC is challenged? I don't know. All I know is that, my child is happy and things are going well in school...so I'm happy. I do wonder whether in MS or HS, DC will find honors or AP classes difficult, b/c gen ed hasn't been rigorous enough. Or maybe, DC will breeze through AP classes in HS too. I don't know but I do know children who aren't in AAP but then get to HS, study really hard, and do great. Sorry my answer is so vague.
