Why don’t you speak Spanish?  No pride in your country or culture? I’m Hispanic as well and learned Spanish.  I have never been bullied by any other Latino.  And I find the first thing other Latinos do is speak to me in Spanish.  It’s a common bond.  So you not knowing any Spanish sets you apart.  Also, you sound elitist, like you have so much more.  My family has doctors and lawyers and I went to a T10 university and have never felt anything close to what you mention.  [/quote]

Not the person you are replying to but I am third generation Mexicana. My grandfather came here as a young boy (i suspect without documents but no one ever confirmed this). He and his siblings lived in fear of speaking their native language outside of the home. This is why he did not teach any of his children or grandchildren.
I work with immigrant families now. Under our unfortunate administration, this fear is renewed for many. People of color are being targeted and harassed if it even looks like they speak Spanish. Maybe think about that before being so condescending.
