I left Gap back when GAP Body was still a thing, and converted to Aerie. I really like theirs. Very simple, fits well, no wedgies.
Do your Aeries fall apart? If not, which kind to you wear? My DD wore their bikinis for a while and I banned them because they got so many holes and basically disintegrated in less than a year.
No, they don't fall apart. Is your DD washing her undies on the gentle cycle? Is she tossing them in with jeans - maybe zippers are tearing them? I have some that were bought before the pandemic and they're in perfect shape. No holes (beyond the three designed of course) at all. Here's what I buy (and what my 23 yr old also buys in a different size): https://www.ae.com/us/en/p/aerie/undies/boybrief-underwear/smoothez-everyday-boybrief-underwear/3773_8350_807 For a while they had those (what I linked) with a cute diagonal thing in the front (similar to how yoga pants had that diagonal slant also) that we both really liked but they stopped selling that.
Op asked for cotton there is zero cotton in those panties. They are 82% Recycled Nylon, 18% Elastane.
