I’d just scour Facebook marketplace and buy nothings for now. We’ve given away a few fridges in perfect working order. Any buy to own is a trap where you’ll spend a multiple of what the fridge costs.
This. Why would you be looking for a new fridge? You can rent a truck from Home Depot for $25 Or I would fix it myself. This is even easier for you since you know what's broken on it. We watch youtube videos and fix just about everything ourselves. Parts on amazon and ebay are like $5. Currently fixing our dryer belt.
I wish I could. It's the compressor that is broken and I'm not the most 'handy' person when it comes to fixing things.
My 16 year old fridge suffered the same problem. A replacement was going to cost over 2K plus delivery fees plus tips to deliver and trot out the old fridge. Replacing the compressor cost almost 1K and would not add to the landfill. While I was having the compressor replaced, the repairman gave me some tips - there were years where the LG compressors were bad. Samsung compressors were no good. This is circa 2021.
