Discuss this with him at NOT 2pm - discuss why he wants to do this, what that means for you in the kitchen, and so forth.

ALSO - you CAN and SHOULD make noise when a baby is sleeping so that they learn to sleep through things.[/b]  Now, should you take 15 minutes to run a food processor that is LOUD? No, but putting dishes in/out of dishwasher, washing dishes, cooking, etc can absolutely happen - those are regular noises all people should be able to sleep through.  (unless your baby is SO DIFFICULT to keep asleep, but then the baby needs to be in the nursery so regular life can go on.)[/quote]
