This thread is just like a current one on the fashion forum. Where all the women think their dh is indifferent to what they are wearing, it’s so weird and delusional. You have to put clothes on every day, so why not just put on something that’s nice? There are super cold nights I’ll put on my flannels. But for just regular nights where it’s 70 degrees in our room, I’ll always put on a little flimsy silk slip or similar. Or or silk shorts and cami. Just as comfortable if not more so though than a cheap t shirt or synthetic pajamas.
Your married life is different than mine! I usually read to my kids in my pajamas, and then I wear them while I’m making breakfasts and lunches in the morning so I don’t mess up my work clothes. I don’t think any kid wants to see his mom in a little flimsy silk slip. I also don’t want to clean blood, vomit, or poop in a little flimsy silk slip. If DH wants to take over these tasks, then I will wear slip. Since he doesn’t care about what I wear as much as he cares about not being the one to get up with kids at night, then I wear what I want to.
Agreed. I wear my pajamas a lot and consider them lounge wear. Kids absolutely don’t need to see lingerie. My main reason for not wearing lingerie to sleep is that I need my shoulders covered. I just can’t sleep when my shoulders aren’t covered by at least a short sleeve. Dh has found me short sleeved silk lingerie over the years and I do like those.
I just wear a t shirt and either pajama pants or athletic shorts. I'm currently 35 weeks pregnant and have kid and I'm not going to be getting up to nurse or deal with a nightmare in slinky slips. My husband sleeps in the same kind of thing. My big pregnant self sometimes steals his pajama pants.
