Not at all. He already has a job lined up. It was well planned.

He knew for awhile a new mayor meant he would be fired. At the debate all three candidates said they would not keep him. The chancellor is essentially a political appointee.

Meh = bad.  DCPS has real challenges.  We needed someone courageous and capable, not milquetoast.

Being insipid enough to not get fired is not at win.

Please explain what is wrong with him being a qualified black male. Why are you people so bothered by DCPS being led by someone who looks like the majority of the kids enrolled? What is wrong with having someone who understands the culture of the majority of students enrolled? I highly doubt that someone from Wyoming would understand the culture of black students.[/quote]
