[/quote] +1 When I was a student at the University of Michigan, I always brought my violin with me whenever I traveled back to the DMV during holidays, winter break, spring break, and summer break. People often asked whether I could actually play the violin—shocking I know—and one time I even played bach on air at the airport while waiting for my flight. One person was so impressed that he asked me to teach his kids violin. His wife was an executive at The Carlyle Group, and she offered me an internship after my sophomore & junior year. I later got a full-time job there after graduation. I didn’t have to flight in first class. People will extend a hand to help you if you have something valuable to offer.[/quote]
