Our kid’s giftedness masked her dyslexia in early elementary. Her teachers said she was on grade level and on track, meanwhile she was crying at night trying to do minimal amounts of homework. We suspected dyslexia because it runs in our family, but we were surprised to find out she was gifted too after a private evaluation.[/quote]
