And this was not because you were brilliant; rather, these tests meant nothing in the past. Everyone took the PSAT and SAT once...then went to Harvard. Today, the testing industry is a multibillion dollar business and the schools are complicit in the meteoric rise and significance of these tests despite their intrinsic worthlessness. Today most people and students do study and prepare for standardized tests to varying degrees. Some are too embarassed to admit it so they delude themselves in denial and lying with claims of not studying or preparing to boast theirsimple and fragile egos. [/quote]
