No, for two reasons.

1. Medicine is just medicine. Americans have this Puritan streak that tells us if something is nice, it must have a downside, but science isn't a morality play. Sometimes your body is lacking a hormone, so you add it in. It doesn't have to be more complicated than that.

2. Maybe it [i]will[/i] cause a surprising and awful side effect. That will suck! But being a heart attack risk, taking statins, having joint pain, etc also suck. I might regret the medicine later, but I might have regretted [i]not[/i] taking it now, and we don't get to know in advance.[/quote]
