I knew at 20 already that those days are coming. I just didn't really know what would cause my energy to collapse. Several thing apparently. I work only part time so I can have those days.
If you were this tired at 20 maybe you have low iron or something?
I worked 12-hours shifts on my feet without a break. While I could do it, I also knew that this was not sustainable. It was the physical work that made me realize I cannot work like this for too long. My body held up fine back then, but I had to take a quick look into my 40s. The working conditions felt unfair and borderline illegal. Every injury I had as a grownup was from work and because of work. Now at 48, 7 hours of work x 2 days is tolerable. My body is changing and I'm trying to keep up with everything that's cracking. Pain at the bottom of my heel is just too much by the end of the shift. Got new shoes and collagen. Doing foot baths, feet up, but the pain is still present. Come right back after the two days I work. I'll figure it out.
