1. I wonder if this is a troll post. 2. If not, I'm sorry about your sister. But you're very, very stupid, OP. People maintain channels to earn money while sharing their passions. They are NOT your friends. It's a job for them. Feel-good stories about Mr. Beast or other influencers visiting cancer patients or doing other good deeds are meant to go viral to monetize their channels even further. None of these people are being nice out of the goodness of their hearts! Your family was just not important enough to be featured in their public life. 3. Read this about Nick Fuentes, and how he ignored a women who died of cancer and her adult son. Gift article: https://wapo.st/4mERkhv
Me again. To be extremely clear: if you donate to their channels, you're being scammed. If you're a big donor, the influencer will communicate with you directly. If you're a moderate donor, and the influencer has a team, someone on the team might get back to you. But you will be ignored if you're a random viewer or a small donor.
I don’t most YouTubers get money from people that watch their videos but they get it from advertisers after they get a certain amount of followers
PP you replied to. Most YouTubers operate on multiple channels and ask for money via others platforms, because there is no way for them to accept money from viewers directly on YouTube. You are encouraged to like and subscribe, since that drives up viewership and thus ad revenue, but other platforms are also mentioned so you can interact with the influencer, and pay them directly for more engagement and services. Patreon is good example of such a platform. For ex, I follow a bass singer and a diorama artist on YouTube. They both have Patreons where you can request certain songs or artworks, and the singer makes himself available for private chats if you're a donor. They monetize their access and artistic direction. At the end of each of their YouTube videos, the Patreon donors for that particular performance or artwork are displayed. It's a whole business ecosystem.
