My mom is in her 70s and people always think she's in her 50s. She is overweight and has gray hair and wrinkles. But she has a baby face and it just doesn't compute for people. This is not about hotness or dating, no one is suggesting that men all think they are 30 when they are 45. But yes, some people have baby faces and even in your 40s, people will react dismissively to you in a workplace simply because they associate your facial features with youth and inexperience.
