My kid got into some amazing schools and ended up on UVA. He worked all 4 years of high school at the same place and it was a cornerstone of his personal essays. You use the word "extra stuff" when I think you mean extracurriculars. A job is precisesly that, and having a job at the same place for 4 years is about as good as it gets. He learned how to work hard, show up, work as a team, be reliable, deal with difficut peiople, and commit to someting and stick wtih it.[/quote]
