WJ, now Woodward parent here. I think Woodward will be good school. However, I will be selling my property and buying at WJ district. This is my personal choice due to my very sensitive kid whose friends are staying at WJ and she supposed to leave for Woodward. Yes, I will loose money, yes it sucks. But I prioritize my kid mental health and comfort
No judgement at all, but how do you expect your daughter to handle going to college and the real world if your response to her being redistricted is selling your house to “protect her mental health”?
I purposely chose to not have my kids raised in that "world". But everyone's real world is different. There are people that can live their entire lives in a bubble. Growing up in a country club lifestyle and living that way all through the life. These people also tend to go to very prestigious/exclusive colleges and for their careers work surrounded by similar people. So while it may not be your world, it's their "real world". Like I said, I purposely didn't want my kids to live in that type of world. But no one should be judging on who's world is the real or right one. And hey for all of the virtue signalling from Dr. Taylor and Dr. Starr, just wanted to point out that they still chose to live in the richest part of the county. If diversity and equity was such a big deal to them, shouldn't they make sure that their families live in the "real world" too?
Lady your house isn't being reassigned to Woodward for equity. It's because WJ and multiple nearby high schools are wildly overcrowded
This was requested by WJ parents.
