My sibling worked VERY HARD on her career. So much that she lost her husband and the children. The marriage really imploded. During those years she didn't even bother to see her own birth family. She had no time for anything except her PhD and her job. Since that awful divorce, she lost her hard won job and hasn't been gainfully employed since despite the Ivy Phd. Sure, she does well with her investments and gets by but there is no family.[/quote]
