Anyone in America right now should be fully aware that people associate Christianity with the very loud, very obnoxious Christian Nationalists that have taken over the GOP. They call themselves Christians while actually behaving and espousing beliefs that are the very antithesis of Christ's teachings. They are hateful hypocrites who wield their Christian beliefs like a sword (maybe gun is more appropriate) instead of ministering to their fellow human beings with mercy and kindness. I have never stopped being a Christian, but I'm quiet about it. You just live it and hope it has a positive impact on those around you. Who would want to be associated with the horrible Christian Nationalists right now?[/quote]
