Low morphology is not a very well understood fertility problem. Theory is misshapen sperm has problem fertilizing eggs but the evaluation process of morphology has gotten so strict in the last 30 years many think morphology alone has lost the ability to indicate male fertility. My husband's morphology problem are mostly heads that are too big, too round, tapered etc. Not many of them have two tails or broken middle section. That may be why we were successful with IUI.

How's your husband's total sperm count? If that number is really good, then even a 2% morphology will give you a lot of normal shaped sperm.
