I think that you have to give Michael J his props. He has been a consistently great artist for many years. He has made a lot of fans and friends on H-Wood, and has worked with many big stars that were present last night. More than anything, these awards are also popularity contests as well. Michael appears well-liked by those that count for these awards. Jessie P, Leonardo, Benicio and so many other stars gave him huge support last night. They felt that he was deserving. I like Timmy as well, but he doesn't seem as genuine and as beloved as Michael in H-Wood. I could be wrong, but that's the vibe I get. The comments that he made didn't help matters, but I do think that if he can connect more with his work and with his peers, that there is an Oscar in his future. But look out because Jesse Plemons is doing some great work out there, and is gaining the respect of many. So is Jacob Elordi and a few others that are showing greater range. Frankenstein is horror quirky, but then he did Wuthering Heights. I just cannot see Timmy doing either. Plus, Jacob is very cool, and that counts a bit as well. With Timmy, I also think it's a timing thing, and finding the right type of movie. The current movie, while probably good, seems quirky. His choices outside of Dune have been quirky and a bit odd, though I loved Wonka. Cannot say that of Michael J -- Fruitvale, Creed, Black Panther, Sinners -- all of these have offered a major punch across a broad audience.
