Are your meeting via Zoom? I love my neighborhood and wish I could go to the meetings, but at 6pm my small kids are home and I often don't have anyone to watch them. DH travels a lot for work.
I was on the board of my HOA before I moved. This was a common complaint. I’m in MCPS where SSL hours are mandatory for graduation. HOAs are actually civic engagement. I offered SSL hours to any HS that would attend and watch younger children. Worked out well. Parents of the of the HS attended, younger kids were brought to the meetings, and the parents of the younger kids attended as well. As an added bonus, parents found new sitters in the neighborhood.
