[/quote] Exactly my point. Fewer boys applying means less competition among boys makes it easier for boys to get an acceptance. This admission cycle, 5/5 boys out of state for UVA were accepted, whereas the one girl I know who applied also out of state was rejected. I asked this question based on my observation. All have similar stats. The girl who was rejected from UVA was accepted to Michigan engineering. One of the 5 boys also accepted to Michigan engineering. [/quote]
