Reading the comments in DCUM I feel that there is some schizophrenic behavior going on. Meaning that parents theoretically want inclusion, when in fact they want a cozy school with rich parents to keep it well funded. That might explain the nasty posts that appear on a daily basis here demeaning the parents from public schools, foreigners, or middle class families.
+1 let's get real
I don't think they all even theoretically want inclusion. Some people think it makes them sound good to say that, others just want a shield against accusations of elitism, racism, snobbery, etc. Some people genuinely want inclusion, some people don't even pretend to want it. There are actual studies that wealthy people are more sociopathic, so it's no surprise that people for whom $50-$60K isn't any kind of sacrifice aren't all good people. And some people pick private for social-climbing/snobby/social anxiety reasons, so again, no shock that they are exclusive perks. Some people pick private for other reasons, and it is not easy, and I feel like you're more likely to get nicer, normal people, but people are just people, you know? Some people are just perks, some people are really kind.
