Op here. You do realize it has been 22 years since 2004. I never have my phone in the bathroom at a guests house. We never had them at my home but nearly every house I was a guest at would have them.

NP, but of course, where else would I put it? It's with me at all times, usually in my back pocket. I don't poop in other people's houses unless emergency, that's what magazines are for. To read while you poop. I don't read or use my phone for a pee.[/quote]

DP but it is irrelevant because who is spending so much time in the bathroom during a daytime visit to someone's home that you need something to read? I am not spending more than 5 minutes in someone's powder room, tops, while at their house for a meal or a visit. And that includes the time to wash hands and do a mirror check for food in teeth or anything else amiss. I rarely take more than a few minutes in the bathroom no matter what, but especially in someone's home. If I had an issue that required a longer visit, that is a sign I am sick and I would excuse myself and go home.

Also if you find that you frequently spend so much time on the toilet that you need a secondary activity, even during a social visit to another person's home, I think you should speak to a doctor. No shame, there are lots of normal medical problems that would cause this, but it should not just be accepted as the normal course of things. Your body should be more efficient than that.[/quote]
