Of course they want to learn.  
Just not a foreign language in a world where AI is about to make language translation so easy and accessible that it will be like having a UN interpreter in your pocket.

Discussion on cognitive benefits of learning world language in high school is out there. Anyway, VA state standards require it even at the rock bottom ranked base high school. This is TJ, so perhaps aim a bit higher?    [/quote]
