Many of the charters expand slightly at Kindergarten. You may have better luck there. IDK where you live/where you were looking, but I bet you have a shot at somewhere decent. WotP, probably not. Bancroft or Ross, probably not. But there are lots of other schools that are worth a look.[/quote]

Um, because Bancroft is hard to get into unless you are in-boundary or have a sibling there. You might not consider it a school where you would want to send your child, but lots of people want dual language. We applied a few years ago and our waitlist number was in the 200s. So, yeah.

And what on earth does Takoma Park have to do with Bancroft or HD Cooke? Takoma is nowhere near those schools. Tubman is, but I'm guessing that one's not on your list.
