Spaying less so and does have some health benefits, although there is an increased risk of bone, joint, and ligament issues. If you're a responsible pet owner with a secure yard, you are not a crap person for choosing not to put you dog through an unnecessary procedure. I know someone from Sweden and they were appalled to find out how commonly it is done here. They view it as mutilation when it is not done for valid medical reasons.[/quote]
