The above is good advice for anyone who might be in this position. Definitely be sure you have the paperwork. I only found the car title because I happened to clear out the desk, which I had moved to the assisted living. I could have easily thrown away all those papers jammed into the desk but figured I had better go through them one by one. Then: Bingo. And thank you to others who had suggestions. OP [/quote]
