It is intentionally bunched up at the waist bc that is a look, OP doesn’t have to wear it that way. Plus I bet they have the model wearing the “regular” not the “tall/long” precisely for that reason, bc Gap wants the model to look on trend.

There is a difference between “oversized” and “works for taller people or those with a long torso.” I thought that OP was asking for the latter, and I suspect that sweater works if purchased in the “long/tall” (and there are other options for tops on the Gap site if you filter your search that way). But if OP wants oversized, a simple answer to that is to buy up a couple of sizes. [/quote]

OP here.  Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I am sure this sweater won't fit correctly on me. It does seem short.  :(

I just remember when sweaters weren't ever so cropped. Everywhere I look (Everlane, Jcrew, Madewell, Quince, BR, Anthropologie etc) has adopted this cropped look and it drives me nuts.

I just want basic (but high quality items) that don't need to be tucked in but don't hit at the one area I want to conceal. Going up sizes just means going wide and that's not flattering.[/quote]
