What is so great about GA? Does it matter what league they’re in? Shouldn’t the important thing he playing time and improving your game, and getting along with teammates and the coach?
Here’s why it matters. Speed of Play and Game IQ, but more the former. Simple as that. Many of these girls work their butts off and have become really good, but it’s at an Aspire/RL level. They need a new challenge. With GA or ECNL, you’re forced to scan continuously, you’re forced to learn how to possess under relentless pressure, the passing lanes shut down fast, etc. Not everyone wants to, or can be, successful at the GA/ECNL level, but if your DD wants to continually improve and challenge themselves to get better, playing at the same speed won’t cut it. There’s nothing wrong with Aspire or RL, it’s just slower and that’s ok for the kids that want it.
