I don't remember when my daughter hit 5', but probably by 11 because she was 5'8" between 13 and 14 and never had a crazy spurt, she just always grew several inches per year. She was a head taller than most of her friends through elementary, so yes, I would say 5' at 11 is tall.

My 12 year old 7th grader is 5' and just got her period (she's not the shortest kid but probably in the bottom 25%). From what I've read, that means will grow maybe 2 more inches. I'm surprised - I'm 5'2", but my husband is 5'11". I thought she'd be taller.[/quote]

Mid parental height for the two of you (for a daughter) would be 5’4, +/- 3 inches. Sounds like she’ll be right in the mix. [/quote]
