[/quote] As most universities with a full-fledged college of engineering, mechanical and electrical are often the largest in headcount (faculty or undergrads), while industrial is often the smallest. The ratio of largest to smallest can be as high as 4 to 1. Molecular engineering at UChicago only has 184 undergraduates, which is all it has since there is no other engineering there. In comparison, biomedical engineering at JHU alone has 475 undergraduates, while mechanical engineering at Northwestern alone has 300 undergraduates. So it's not close.[/quote]
