Am considering C2 in Bethesda. I was quoted a range of cost per hour ($75-85/hr). Had my child do the diagnostic and then met with the person to understand the results and see what might work best. Turns out, as others have said, you buy packages with 50 hours at $110/hr being the cheapest/ fewest hours. The person also said that based on the diagnostic, they were confident that my child would get a 1500 on the test. The diagnostic score was 1270. Given the bait and switch of the cost, I’m concerned that everything they say is a lie. I do understand that they can’t guarantee a score but don’t want to pay over $5000 stupidly. My child really liked them. I appreciate the reviews here and on another thread. Other than Prep Matters and self study, are there other recommendations? My child prefers in person.
+1. Does your kid's school have names of tutors? Once upon a time.we were told there was Sylvan Learning (sp?) somewhere in Bethesda forgot where. Are they around and do they offer in-person one on one tutoring? There are other discussions on this forum with test prep recommendations. One was for an in-person group class Capitol Ed or something. Everest tutoring was mentioned further north Rockville maybe. Not sure if they offer in-person. People say to compare before you commit to this one.
