"FCPS no longer permits student transfers solely for the purpose of enrolling in a specific world language. For questions regarding course selection, please visit your school's website to view the course selection catalog. For more information, contact your child’s school counselor or the Director of Student Services." https://www.fcps.edu/about-fcps/registration/student-transfer-information
Are the students already in the pipeline, such as a Lake Braddock transfer taking Japanese 3 as a junior grandfathered? My kid had to switch languages or change schools between 10th and 11th after the Latin program got shut down at our FCPS high school. We choose staying and switching languages since back then online wasn't an option. 2 years of 2 different languages definitely hurt their college applications. I hope the kids already in the pipeline can finish the 4 years of language.
