If you walk the beach at Grace Bay, Beaches appears to be hell on earth compared to the rest of it. Crowded and full of "amateur" vacationers. There is no need to do an All Inclusive on Provo. It is safe, most accomodations have kitchens and Beaches is ridiculosuly expensive when you compare it to the other resorts on the island. You are paying high dollar for a Holiday Inn room. I understand that it is child centered, but there are many child friendly places on the island, they just dont subject adult guests to Elmo and the gang.
You know, this is the poster who first mentioned Ocean Club - and said I'd like to try Beaches someday. As I think about it, I totallly agree with this about no need to do all inclusive. Most of the places are condo-types so you don't have to eat every meal in a restaurant - which is nice. And the restaurants are fantastic!! The only reason we'd consider beaches is kiddo activities.
