This brought my kids Q2 grade down from a 95 to an 89, and they are very upset. Definitely not following the new grading policy or any sort of common sense! my child reached out to the resource teacher on Monday via email. Anything else you would suggest they do?[/quote]

That is a difficult situation.  I tell all my students to take photos of all handwritten assignments and e-mail them to me as a backup because people are human and we can sometimes make mistakes and lose things.  Sure it means I get lots of e-mails but I just put them in a folder and only need to go in there if there is a discrepancy.  With that said, it definitely does not seem right that assignments from 2 months ago are now just showing up.  Were they in Canvas the whole time but just recently sync'd to Synergy?  I know plenty of teachers who operate like that where they sync their gradebook like once a month.[/quote]
