OP here. I'm just so disappointed. I'm a 45 year old woman with a normal BMI. Why did I get palpitations? I thought I was going slowly.
At 45 you still have a lot to learn about life.
I sure do, but palpitations wasn't on my list of stuff to expect. None of my friends have had these symptoms. I don't like being weak.
I read about his and it has to do partly with moving from warm to cold and adding the physical aspect on top of that. Cold brings on more chances of blood clots. “ Shoveling snow significantly increases the body’s need for oxygen. To meet this demand, the heart must work harder: The heart rate rises, the heart pumps more forcefully, and blood pressure increases to deliver oxygen to the working muscles. The cold temperature also causes blood vessels to constrict and makes the blood more prone to clotting. The coronary arteries that supply blood to the heart can also narrow, reducing oxygen delivery to the heart muscle itself.”
