Where in your were these trees up all year?  So odd.  And of course the are dusty.  They are dust magnets.  2 months is a lot shorter than 12. [/quote]
We have a large stone fireplace that goes up 20 feet. On either side of it is empty space that isn't in any walkway. We liked the way the soft light looked in the evenings and now those corners are going to be dark. Our family room is pretty big, so it's not like they were taking up needed space.
