I've never had a fever after a shot, nor have my kids. Is that a bad thing? Does that mean it's not working?
This seems to be highly person specific. I never get fevers from the flu shots, but my flu cases have generally been pretty mild. The people in my family that have fevers and suffer the worst after flu or other shots also tend to be the people that go down exceptionally hard when they catch the real deal. After years of avoiding flu shots only to nearly die of the flu last year, my dad has finally accepted that being mildly miserable for 24-48 hours is preferable to being hospitalized on the verge of death for 48-96.
