Please excuse the slight tangent below...it's in reaction to your implied concerns about employability.  I'm familiar with the automotive design industry.  There is a possibility of doing transportation design with a focus on vehicle interiors.  Vehicle interior design is very materials/textiles oriented.  I know kids from this Pasadena Art Center program are desirable recruits.  I also know that people leave automotive design and go into jewelry and fashion industries (handbags, the crossover material being leather).  Automotive design also relies on sketchbook, moodboards, and material palettes for ideation just like clothing design.

The above program is likely expensive but it is prestigious.  And I don't know if they would have good scholarships.[/quote]
