Kids taking Orchestra or band have an immediate slot that is constrained because of when those meet. At Carson, Japanese is a constraining elective because of the few number of classes offered. There are electives with too many kids wanting them and not enough classes. Most of it comes down to your schedule and if you can get into one of the periods the class is offered. [/quote]
